Founded by master pastry chef Sebastien Wind, Comptoir Bakery began as a humble stall at Borough Market and has since become one of London’s most beloved names for French baking. Alongside their bustling bakery and cafés across SE1, the Comptoir Bakery School is where the real magic unfolds.

Housed just behind the bakery on Druid Street, the School is a warm, welcoming space where expert chefs guide you through classic techniques and timeless recipes from laminated doughs to pâtisserie precision.

The workshops are designed for all abilities and interests. You’ll learn how to fold the perfect croissant, master elegant French biscuits, or bake Comptoir’s signature creations. It’s not just about following a recipe, it’s about learning the why behind the techniques, building confidence in the kitchen, and leaving with something you’re genuinely proud of.

Set in the heart of Bermondsey, the classes offer a slower, richer pace of learning  whether you're shaping dough for the first time or refining your pastry technique. The atmosphere is relaxed, the guidance expert, and the results? Delicious.
